A million thoughts fly through his mind, but none of them can get the chance to fully register before the bullet hits. The impact knocks him off balance, but in the brief instant before he falls off the edge of his podium, the expression on his face changes from shock and pain to nothing but pure anger. ]

What the hell? What was even the point of that, you know he's just going to come back!
