POST-GAME TL;DR CR JAM
TL;DR Character Relationship Meme
♥ Step one: post with your characters.
♠ Step two: respond to other people's characters with your characters.
♦ Step three: they tell you in detail what their character thinks of your character. TL;DR is encouraged; that's how this works.
♣ Optional step four: discuss it with them if you want! Make a big chain of tl;dr if you're up to it.
♥ Step five: other people do the same thing to you! Maybe you even harvest your tl;dr to use in a CR chart later.
♠ Step six: keep checking back in so that no one is ever late!

Yomiel's first impression of Simon was something like "this guy hovering around Knightley looks like a total weenie, I could probably give that poor guy a heart attack just by jumping at him and going 'boo' really loudly." So for the first could of days, Simon was basically just "Knightley's hanger-on" to him.
He knew they were friends, though, so when the Indoctrinator acted first night, they were the first people he suspected.
Which in no way stopped him from asking Knightley for a strategy meeting, good planning, Yomiel. And then during the trial that day, Simon was like "Well, we talked about that and decided it would be better to wait..." so Yomiel was like "OK ain't nobody dumb enough to admit something like that if they were actually the ones who converted, especially not a scaredy-cat like that, and I'm sure this guy's no idiot because Knightley wouldn't tolerate him hanging around if he was so... they're probably clear."So after that, he didn't have any particularly strong feelings about Simon. Seemed like a pretty alright guy but probably not a super reliable one, probably not going to be any sort of major mover or shaker in this game, I hope he and Knightley get out of this alright, that sort of vaguely positive feeling. And then Simon told him he was the troubleshooter, and when he was like "Yeah I haven't told Knightley I'm using the two of you as insurance against each other" Yomiel was like "...I have severely underestimated this guy's intelligence." REALLY GLAD SIMON WAS ON HIS SIDE, but yeah wow not expecting that in the least.
ALSO REALLY UNEXPECTED: Simon so readily agreeing to the fake Troubleshooter plan! That conversation was about when Yomiel realized that he was completely wrong about this guy and needed to throw out all his previous misconceptions and start over. Not even fuckin' mad about being so thoroughly fooled, just honestly kind of impressed. Really impressed, actually. That was basically when Yomiel started earnestly liking Simon, was when he realized Simon's smarter than he is.
Aaaaalso when he realized that oh Simon is probably not the only stealth sketchy asshole here, I should stop cutting Robin and Fulbright so much slack and start assuming we're just all sketchy assholes here. So congrats, Simon, between that and providing him the means to "personally" murder Anthy, you're pretty much singlehandedly responsible for Yomiel's character development going off the rails as badly as it did.
Even without Knightley threatening to break his arms, though, Yomiel really did want to protect Simon. That's why he gave Simon that note and wrote his letter to leave everything up to Simon to explain, because he trusted Simon's judgement more than his own. So it SURE DID FUCK HIM UP when Simon mentioned that Bobby might actually have reason to scan him, god, if he'd mentioned that earlier, Yomiel would've called the entire damn plan off, you go publicly do the Troubleshooter thing, Simon, Yomiel will figure out some way to fend for himself it'll be fiiiiiiine. But that's not how it went and Yomiel totally spent all of Day 4 kicking himself for getting Simon killed.
He still feels awkward about it in DART, but Simon doesn't seem mad about it, so he guesses it's okay???

Simon should have tried to engineer Fulbright's death from the beginning, but he sat on his worries about the guy because he was avoiding an awkward conversation with Horace, and consequently told himself he could ride it out until people's suspicions about Fulbright came to fruition. So he blames himself for being weak enough to feel feelings, and Knightley for making him feel those feelings, and in the face of that barely blames Yomiel for his death at all. Actually the most IC thing probably would have been to Troubleshoot Fulbright right away, long before anybody even thought he might have been Communist, but I'm not that much of an asshole OOCly.
