TRIAL 01

Attention, Citizens! You have ten minutes to proceed to the Loyalty Chamber. Anyone who is late to the Loyalty Chamber, or who brings any weapons into the Loyalty Chamber, will be immediately executed.

[Once you arrive, you will find a large chamber, with twenty podiums spaced around the room in a circle. On the ceiling, a massive screen showing the digital eye of The Computer, turning to look at whoever is talking.]

You have one hour to come to a consensus about who to eliminate. Ties will be broken randomly.

[The floor of the chamber begins to split apart, eventually only leaving the twenty podiums as safe places to stand, above a seemingly bottomless abyss. Each podium lights up with a touch screen showing twenty user IDs (Seryu-R-CIT-1 is grayed out), plus the word “ABSTAIN”. The trial begins now!]

[[Vote Here.]]

I donno, she doesn't seem like the type to sit back and let someone else kill for her. If she is a Communist, and did it, do you think there'd have been much of a body left?

[I mean, she's not saying "Moge-ko isn't a communist" but...]

I'm not sure the Communists even murdered our little victim this morning. [ Look at him saying that so casually like it didn't trigger a breakdown. ] The rules say they vote for a Citizen to be eliminated, and that elimination means execution. That's a pretty particular choice of word, don't you think?

But whether or not she's a Communist is pretty irrelevant. What the rules don't say is what happens when someone runs out of back-ups without being eliminated from the exercise, and Moge-ko's already run through two thirds of hers.

I'm not willing to take the risk that she is a Communist and the exercise won't end if she gets herself killed permanently without being properly "eliminated".

Moge-ko still has half her lives left. And she's not dying again. ♪

I did think that they just pick the target and the computer is the one that pulls the trigger.

Still, we don't know anything "outside the game". There could be a seventh clone that you wake up as when you're executed or run out of the listed ones, which is somewhere else. You'd still be out of the game, just in a way that doesn't leave you dead or get you to escape.
