DAY 02
[Good morning! The doors unlock at 07:00, the enforced sleep effect wearing off just a few minutes prior. This time, There’s no body in the central hub… because the body of Greed is in the Hygiene Sector!]
Good morning, Citizens! Last night, participant Greed-R-PAR-1 was terminated due to Communist action. There are now 11 Citizens and 6 Communists.
Trial 02 will begin at 20:00.
[Friend Computer will remain to answer questions for ten minutes. One hour after the body is found, the usual fleet of cleaning droids will clear up the corpse and surrounding mess.
On the profiles list, Greed’s full User ID is now visible, and his status has changed to DEAD.]

THE BODY
Clutched in Greed’s right hand is a scrap of paper, with a single sentence written on it in red ink: “I DID IT FOR JOHNNY”.]

He did not figure it would be him.
There's only so many places a body could be in here, and it doesn't take Yomiel long to find Greed's. He can only bear to look at it for an instant before he has to turn away.
He doesn't really want to make a habit of vomiting all over the crime scenes. That face is going to haunt his nightmares for the rest of his life. However short that's probably going to end up being. He takes a seat on the floor nearby--out of line-of-sight with the corpse, but close enough to listen in on any investigative discussion--and draws his knees up to his chest. This is absolutely not what he needed after last night. ]

[ Though, at the very least, this shows that either the Computer either has a thing for a person named "Johnny" or it's an important person in Communist history... Not that she knows much about American history, since really, it's not all that important to her.
Though it definitely looks like he was poisoned and then hung, but it doesn't help them all that much. She'll look closely at the bottle for a moment or two before turning around and leaving. ]

[As far as she's concerned, all of these crime scene clues are a useless distraction anyway. Might as well focus on the few actually helpful details like this. ]

Is this from the loyalty officer, or..?
[Welp, better investigate. So... checking for fingerprints maybe?? (ARE THERE FINGERPRINTS IN THE FUNFOOD?)]

Didn't someone suggest one of the roles doing this yesterday? Now it just looks like a red herring.
[or whatever the pokemon equivalent to herring is]
Trying to get the computer's attention
I have a question. We might need the answer to avoid getting cornered for the rest of the game.
Is it possible for the communists' night action to kill one of their own under any circunstances?

Phi leans against one of the railings, as if she expects someone is going to ask her something.]

[Well, you'd be right about that. Robin was the type to just come up to someone, now wasn't very different.]
Are you doing okay?

A lot of thinking has to be done and the facts have to be put together before the trial. So she'll be here, thinking. Of course, she won't hesitate to speak with anybody on her thoughts. ]

If I understand the rules of this correctly, they weren't trying to kill Mr. Greed, were they? To kill him they'd have had to try to kill his Partner.

Central Hub
Clay was well aware of the recent killing, but he hadn't seen the message in the Food Sector, despite just being there. Till now, physically and mentally, the man's been stumbling around the place. He'll be walking around and eating, hoping to eavesdrop and hear where the investigation's going. Hell if he knows how to make heads and tails out of this. And hey, it ain't rude if nobody catches you.]

YOU!
[ Yomiel lunges at Clay, his hands aiming for Clay's throat, and if they get a good grip around it, it's not going to be easy to get him to let go. ]
Greed told me last night he knew you were safe! He didn't say why, but it's obvious now! This is your fault! They were after you!

He's not entirely sure why, since paying last respects isn't really something he does and the whole fucking thing is a farce around here anyway. But he'd gone, and he'd looked, and he'd just kind of stood around looking annoyed as hell for a moment before turning and going back into his room to declare a mulligan on the entire fucking morning and go back to sleep.
But he's up now, and the central hub is as good a place as any to be; he's got a silver pocketwatch that he's playing with idly, flipping it open and shut again, but otherwise he doesn't seem to be doing much of anything. Just sitting on the floor against a wall. Messing with the watch. Once in a while raking one of his hands back through the shorter strands of his hair.
At least he doesn't seem in the mood to approach and hassle as much as he usually does; surely that's a godsend.]
