This was going to happen no matter what they did tonight. It just so happened that they didn't accomplish their goal of actually rooting out one of the Communists. What a pity.
His gaze lingers at Kimbley for a moment, inclining his head just slightly towards the door.]

[The heat engulfs Clay and he holds his arms up, trying pointlessly to keep it away. He looks over from his podium at the inferno below with terror and anxiety all over his face... and if someone would bother looking further, they could see a tinge of guilt in Clay's narrowing eyes.
